How Does The Lathe Machine Work?
Lathe machines work on one basic principle. The principle is based on a rotating workpiece and a fixed cutting tool. The cutting tool rotates in its axis while the workpiece is attached or fed into the tool. In this way, the workpiece gets the desired shape.
While the operation, the working piece is placed in between the headstock and the tailstock, also called “between centers”. Meanwhile, the tool post firmly holds the cutting tool near the workpiece to cut it.
